Ammon W. Zumbrum

HANOVER - Ammon W. Zumbrum, 95, formerly of 856 York St., Hanover, died at 8:25 a.m. Monday at Hanover Hall Nursing Center. He was the husband of Katie A. (Renoll) Zumbrum, who died April 23, 1966.
The service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the Kenworthy Funeral Home Inc., 269 Frederick St., Hanover. Burial will be in Marburg Memorial Gardens. Visitations will be 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Zumbrum was born Sept. 7, 1902, in Manheim Township. He was the son of the late John H. and Sarah (Gibbons) Zumbrum.
He was a farmer, having retired, and also retired from Nell's Market in Hanover after several years of service. He was a member of St. Paul (Dub's) Lutheran Church in Hanover.
Mr. Zumbrum is survived by two sons, Harold Zumbrum of Fairfield and Glenn Zumbrum of Spring Grove; three daughters, Treva Eline of Spring Grove and Grace Biddle and McCree Meckley, both of Hanover; 28 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; two step-great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Lovie Shaffer of Hanover. Mr. Zumbrum was preceded in death by a daughter, Lottie Kneller.
Officiating at the service will be his pastor, the Rev. Russell N. Burr.
