Louis was the son of John Barton Spalding & Mary Ann Pate. He married Margaret Fogarty & they had 4 children.

L.B. Spalding Dies Today

Last of His Family--Widower Dies Suddenly at Residence

Louis B. Spalding, 88, lifelong resident of Barr township, passed away this morning around 11:15 o'clock at his residence in Montgomery. His death was sudden.

The deceased was the son of John B. and Mary A. (Pate) Spalding. He was once engaged in the furniture business and later became an undertaker. He had retired from this profession several years ago. He was a member of St. Peter's church in Montgomery. His wife, Margaret (Fogarty) Spalding died on Dec. 26,1924.

He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Wayne Satterfield, Indianaoplis, and a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Maud Spalding, city clerk treasurer of this city. Mrs. Spalding's hisband, Bernard, succumed in 1921. Four grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survive.

Funeral arrangements are incomplet, but friends may call at Gill's Funeral Home starting Wednesday evening.
