Lydia was born in Eagle Valley(Ursine), Lincoln County, Nevada
A little place she carried in her heart all her life. She loved all her family and was devastated when she lost her father. She was a natural born teacher going to college at University of Nevada in Reno and earned her teachers certificate. She taught a short time in Alamo, Nevada and was married to William Lorain Hendrix in 1940. She was a sub for the school district for a short time. She was called to be a Primary teacher for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and taught 40 plus years only reason she stopped was because of a worn out hip and other medical issues.
