Funeral services for James R. Forester, 89, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday at a funeral home chapel in Iberia. The Rev. Earl Brown will officiate. Burial will be in the Livingston Cemetery near Iberia. Mr. Forester died Sunday at the home of his son Ray Forester.
He was born Mar. 20, 1878, near Iberia, Mo., the son of James and Susan Shackelford Forester. On Aug. 9, 1905, he married Miss Mathilda Shackelford. She died Aug. 7, 1860.
Mr. Forester was a life long resident of the Iberia community and was a retired farmer.
Surviving are three sons: Roy Forester, Jefferson City; Ray Forester, Iberia; Earl Forester, Novato, Calif., six grandchildren and five great, grandchildren.
