Roy J. Forester, 82, of 1902 St. Mary's Blvd. died Tuesday at Charles E. Still Hospital (Jefferson City, MO). He was born Dec 19, 1906, in Iberia, a son of James and Mary M. Shackleford Forester. He was married Nov. 1, 1926, in Tuscumbia to Erma G. Jenkins, who survives of the home.

A resident of the Jefferson City area since 1937, Mr. Forester was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church.

He had been employed by the Missouri Pacific Railroad, the Farm Bureau Feed Store, Johnny's Sinclair Service Station and as a crossing guard at West School until his retirement.

Survivors include: three daughters, Mrs. Luramae Allen and Mrs. Linda Shook, both of Jefferson City, and Mrs. Blanche Hartman, California; one brother, Earl Forester, Petaluma, Calif.; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Two sons, Herbert L. Forester and Bobby J. Forester, preceded him in death.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the freeman Chapel with the Rev. Jeff Barnes officiating. Burial will be at Livingston Cemetery near Iberia. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at the Freeman Mortuary. Memorials can be made to the Concord Baptist Church.
