County Legislator Succumbs To Illness

J. B. Deardorff, state representative from Canadian county, died late Tuesday in a Yukon hospital, as the result of an extended illness. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:30 o'clock at the Methodist church in Yukon.

Mr. Deardorff was formerly county commissioner of this county and served in that capacity from 1917 to 1925. Following his retirement from the office he was elected state representative and was completing his first term.

He was 73 years of age. Surviving children are: Vern Deardorff who resides in the state of Washington, Harry Deardorff of Yukon, Mrs. Minnie Miller of Western Oklahoma, Mrs. Eva Davis of Oklahoma City, and Mrs. Laura Lorenzen of Wichita, Kas.
