He was first buried in Greenlawn Cemetery in the oldest part of Indianapolis; that cemetery was demolished in an urban renewal project, and the tombstones were moved to the Greenlawn Section of Floral Park Cemetery in Indianapolis.

I give and bequeath to my daughter Ruth Heiss heirs twenty five dollars to be paid to her by my Executors as soon as that amount comes into their hands.
I also give and bequeath to my daughter Nancy Johnson twenty five dollars to be paid by my Executors as soon as that amount comes into their hands.
I also give and bequeath to my Son Elijah Lake the sum of One hundred and fifty dollars to be paid by my Executors as soon as that amount comes into their hands.
I also give and bequeath to my daughter Priscilla Breckenridge the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars to be paid by my Executors as soon as that amount comes into their hands.
I also give and bequeath to my daughter Mary Camel the sum of Two hundred dollars to be paid by my Executors to her as soon as that amount comes into their hands.
I also give and bequeath to my grandson Zenas Lake Son of Isaac Lake one hundred dollars to be loaned out by my Executors as soon as that amount comes into their hands at lawful interest and until the principal amounts to two hundred dollars at which time the whole amount of two hundred dollars is to [be] by my Executors paid to him.
I give and bequeath to my Son Zenas Lake the sum of Three hundred dollars to be paid by my Executors to him as soon as that amount comes into their hands.
I give and bequeath and it is my will and desire that all the money arising from the sale of my real and personal estate not herein Specially devised and particularly granted to any of the persons herein named be equally divided among my Sons Elisha Lake, Isaac Lake, Samuel Lake and Zenas Lake and George Washington Lake my grandson. But should George Washington Lake my grandson die without issue then and in that case so much of my Estate as is herein bequeathed to him and which he may possess at the time of his death shall be equally divided among all my children herein named.
I do hereby ordain constitute and appoint my two sons Elisha Lake and Zenas Lake my executors of this my said will and testament hereby revoking all my former wills by me at any time heretofore made and do declare this to be my last will and testament and do set my hand and seal to it this third day of July in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and forty two.

(4) Priscilla Lake Brackenridge or Breckenridge, born abt 1799; married Thomas Brackenridge/Breckenridge of Dearborn Co, IN; was living with her son in 1870 in Dearborn Co, IN; death/burial unknown.

(6) Hannah Lake Atherton, born 1802; married Willis G. Atherton; they were parents of Zenas Marion Atherton, who received $100 from will of his uncle, Zenas Lake, Jr. Willis and Hannah died in Albia, IA, as did their son, Zenas Marion Atherton. The latter is buried in Oak View Cemetery, and at least one researcher believes that Willis and Hannah are also, but no documentation has been found, nor have tombstones been found.

(12) Zenas Lake, born abt 1819; subject of obit found at Indianapolis Newspapers Database, 1848-1888 at Indiana State Library, Indianapolis Sentinel: "DIED, In this city, on the 26th inst., Mr. Zenas Lake, aged about 30 years. Mr. Lake's father was one of the very first settlers on White River, and Mr. L. has grown up in our midst from his earliest boyhood. Few young men in our country have sustained a better reputation for honesty and uprightness of conduct. He enjoyed the esteem and confidence of a large circle of firends and acquaintances; by them his loss will be deeply felt and his virtues long remembered. He had been for many years a consistent member of the Methodist Episcopal Church of this city, and we have every reason to hope that our loss is his infinite gain. Mr. Lake had but a few days since received his commission to an important office, (that of receiver of the Land Office at this place,) upon the duties of which he had not yet entered. Such is life! Let all learn a lesson hereby, which will occur to every one's own heart, and which need not be enforced by any illustration or remark! The funeral will take place this morning at half past ten o'clock, from Wesley Chapel. Services by Rev. Mr. Holliday." [His will written 25 Jan 1849 was probated in Feb 1849 in Marion Co, IN; it mentioned no wife or children; burial unknown.]
(13) [George W's father -- may be the same as one of the other sons named above. Sarah Abraham says family records show George W. Lake was born 13 May 1817. That definitely points to his being a son of Elijah unless there is another unknown son born before 1800.]
