Laura Mae Hendrickson, age 80 of Grand Rapids, MN died Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at Evergreen Terrace in Grand Rapids. Laura was born in 1929 to Clarence and Martha Austin in Warba, MN, where she grew up. She attended schools in Warba and Grand Rapids, graduating from Grand Rapids High School in 1948. She was united in marriage to Arthur Henrickson on October 14, 1950 in Deer River, MN. They lived in many places in Minnesota including; Plum Creek, Littlefork, Cambridge, Effie, Northome, Lake City, and in 1970, moved to Grand Rapids. Laura worked for United Wild Rice for 15 years in Grand Rapids. She also manned the fire towers in Effie, Plum Creek, Gemmel, Northome and Grand Rapids for many years. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Grand Rapids. Laura enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and Canada.

A gathering of family and friends will be Friday, April 30th from 10:00 AM until the 11:00 AM Memorial Service at the United Methodist Church in Grand Rapids. Rev. Marva Jean Hutchens will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Deer River Township, MN
