Esther L. Cole, age 82, of Grand Rapids, MN, passed away Tuesday June 4, 2019 at Grand Village in Grand Rapids, MN.
Esther was born in 1936 to Clarence and Martha (Schierland) Austin in Grand Rapids, MN where she also grew up and attended schools. Esther and Alan Cole were united in marriage on July 12, 1954. Esther worked at a variety of businesses in the Grand Rapids area including Cole Hardware, Beiers Greenhouse, Charlie’s Restaurant, Itasca Mileage Café, and Coast to Coast.
Preceded in death by her parents; husband of 61 years, Alan; and sister, Laura (Art) Hendrickson.
Esther is survived by sister, Mary Ann Felix of Grand Rapids, MN; brother-in-law, Wayne (Marlene) Cole of Cohasset, MN; sisters-in-law, Jean Cole of Hunnington Beach, CA and Ginny (John) Ingles of Waynesboro, PA; and many nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service will be Friday, June 7, 2019 at 3:00 PM at Itasca-Calvary Cemetery in Grand Rapids, MN. Fr. Charlie Friebohle will officiate.
