Mrs. Carrie Anderson, who made her home with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs.
Hans Steenbock in Campbell, passed away Friday following a long illness.
Mrs. Anderson was born March 11, 1876 in Norway and came to the United States with her parents, Michael and Mette Hanson and two sisters, when she was a small girl. They settled in Eau Claire, Wise, where she grew to womanhood.
On July 23, 1901 she was married to Ole Anderson and they made their home in Eau Claire for a few years before moving to Louisianna. They lived there about two years and then came to Minn, settling near Doran.
She was baptised in the Lutheran Faith in Norway as a child and was confirmed Oct. 4, 1891 in Eau Claire. She was one of the early members of the Vukku Lutheran Church and in earlier years was very active in Church work and the Ladies Aid.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Hans (Myrtle) Steenbock, Campbell and Mrs. Lloyd (Margaret) Erickson, Doran; three sons Anton, Foxhome, Lewis, Doran and Marshall, Austin, 23 grandchildren and 46 grandchildren. Three sisters Mrs. Marie Roe of Carson, Wash., Mrs. Thos. Jacobson, Redwing and Mrs. Archie Kerch, Breckenridge and one brother, Martin Hanson, Doran also survive.
Funeral services were held Monday, at Vukku Lutheran Church with Rev. Kenneth Peterson officiating.
