James M. Davis, 75 year old retired carpenter and resident of 122 West McHaney street died early today. He had been in I'll health some five years.
Born and reared in Saline county, Mr. Davis had spent his entire life here. He was the son of the late Thomas and Mary Davis.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. John L. Harmon, Stanford, Ky. a son, James E. Davis of Harrisburg, five grandchildren, three brothers, J. Wilburn Davis, Harrisburg, Walter Davis, Big Ridge, and Harley Davis, Eldorado, and a sister, Mrs. Pearl Berry, of Detroit.
His body lies in state in the chapel of the Harrisburg funeral home. Funeral plans will be announced later.

Saturday at 2 p.m.

Funeral service for James M. Davis, 75 year old resident of 122 West McHaney street who died Thursday, will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Harrisburg funeral home where his body lies in state. Rev. Clayton Humphrey will officiate, and burial will be in Big Ridge Cemetery.
