BOONEVILLE - Letha Luvene Pollard, 83, died Tuesday at her residence. She was the daughter of late Autie Z. Carpenter and Nora P Jones Carpenter. She was the widow of Marcus B. Pollard, a housewife and was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church in Booneville.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the First Freewill Baptist Church with the Rev. Luther Gibson and the Rev. Curtis Alligood officiating. Burial will be in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery. McMillan Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include eight daughters, Verlene Heady of Lake Jackson, Texas, Noralee Ward of Ft. Collins, Colo., Pam English of Jumpertown. Jo Ann Myracle of Hernando, Luvene Turner of Memphis. Frankie Burks and Wanda Gahagan, both of Booneville and Mary Robinson of Rienzi, six sons, Sidney Pollard of Osceola, Ark., Warren B. Pollard of Columbia, S. C., James Robert Pollard of Archer City, Texas, Q. D. Pollard and Dewayne Pollard, both of Booneville and John Ray Pollard of Gonzales, La.; four sisters, Vada King and Iva McAnally, both of Booneville, Gwen Pollard of Memphis and Quay Carpenter of Arlington, Tenn.; two brothers, Brack Carpenter of Booneville and Thermon Carpenter of Bartlett. Tenn.; 62 grandchildren, 99 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
