John Hile Jr.(1940 - 2010)
John Logan Hile, Jr., 70, of Evansville, passed away Friday, June 18, 2010, at VNA Charlier Hospice Center. He was born May 4, 1940, in Evansville, to John L. Sr. and Mildred (Wildt) Hile.
He was employed at Benerson Corporation for 27 years and Apex Tool & Manufacturing for eight years. He retired from Moore Machine & Gear after 12 years of service. He was a tool & die maker and enjoyed woodworking. He was a member of North Park Baptist Church.
John was preceded in death by his wife of 28 years, Patricia (Hernandez) Hile, in 1990; and parents, John L. Hile, Sr. and Mildred (Wildt) Hile.
He is survived by his sons, Jay Hile and his wife, Polly, of Evansville and Jason Hile and his wife, Tina, of Evansville; daughter, Leslie (Hile) Wright of Evansville; four grandchildren, Hannah, James, Caitlynn and Ashlyn; one great-grandchild, Kaileena; and foster brother, Arthur Wildt of Evansville.
Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 22, 2010, at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Rev. Arthur Christmas, with entombment in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family would like to thank VNA Charlier Hospice Center for their care of John while he was there.
