Flora Belle Lambert, 86, of Denton, died Friday June 18, 2010, at Denton Good Samaritan Village.

Mrs. Lambert was born on November 20, 1923, in Gunter, TX to Thomas Clinton and Olive (Harris) Jones. She was married to Lloyd Alan Lambert on August 9, 1941. He died on November 4, 1990. She retired from TWU as a housekeeper and then went to work as a cook at the Denton State School. She was a member of East Side Church of Christ.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday June 21, 2010, in the chapel of Mulkey Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton. Interment will follow at Plainview Cemetery, Krum. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, June 20, at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Glen Maxwell, Bobby Popham, Sonny Gilmer, Tommy Cotchrell, Eddie Cross, Randy Sons.

Survivors include her daughters, Flora Ann Crisp and her husband Johnny of Slidell, Reba Bowers and her husband Joe of Denton, Betty McKinney of Lewisville; sisters, Tommie Popham, Nyla Maxwell, Threeca Vandagriff, Linda Colston; grandchildren, Flora Belle Crisp, Katy Longworth and her husband Kyle; great-grandchildren, Jason Whitaker and his wife Ashley, Jennifer Breedlove and her husband TJ, Tasha Carter, Chelsea Crisp; great-great-grandchildren, Logan and Landon Whitaker, Jamie Breedlove. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Ricky Crisp; sister, Cora Oakley; brothers, Gansford Jones, Ed Jones, Bobby Jones.
