Leroy Helton, Sr., 67 of St. Joseph, MO, passed away Saturday June 5, 2010 at a local hospital.
Leroy was born October 23, 1942 in St. Joseph to Dorothy Mary Potterf and Elvin Otis Helton, where he resided most of his life.
He worked for Dannen Mills Grain, Affiliated Foods, and Trans Am. He enjoyed playing pool, horseshoes, dancing, and being with family and friends.
Preceding him in death are his parents and one daughter, Dee Dee Ann Helton.
Surviving are four sisters, Ava Conner, Erma Helton, Edna Helton, and Dorothy Taylor; four sons, Leroy Jr. (Theresa Brown), Rodney, Rickie (Kristina), and Ronnie Helton; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; three nephews and five nieces.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Clark-Sampson Funeral Home with Stephen Noyes, officiating. Inurnment following in Sugar Creek Cemetery, Rushville, MO.
