Miner Spicer was the son of Edward Spicer and Abigail Allyn. He had three brothers and a sister Lydia, Benjamin Clay, Joseph and John. He was married twice and both wive's last names were the same as his mother's side of the family. His first wife was Cynthia Allyn, marriage date unknown. Second wife was Hannah Allyn.
