The obituary for Perry Sexson stated tht he had died in Ash Grove, Nov. 7, 1900 and burial was in Ash Grove Cemetery. He was born in Whitley Co., KY, Aug. 28, 1820. He moved to Ash Grove with his parents at the age of 12. He married Nancy Goode, Nov. 3, 1842 and she died Oct. 4, 1877. They had six sons, all surviving, namely, I. F., J. N., W. A., S. B., J. J., and C. H. They had nine girls, only four surviving, namely, Mrs. Martha Kemp, Mrs. Ollie Cox, Mrs. Maggie Gardner and Mrs. Dennis Richman. Also surviving were 45 out of 67 grandchildren, plus nine great grandchildren. Also surviving were four sisters and two brothers. Windsor Gazette - 15 Nov 1900
