Mr. Newhart was born Aug. 4, 1951 in Woodsfield and came to Hancock county in 1888. His parents were Gottlieb and Mary Newhart. He was married in 1903 to Mary Alice Wagant who survives.
He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Ida Chaster, Mt. Blanchard; two sons, Manuel and Ed Newhart, Findlay; one step-son, Charles Huffman, Findlay; one sister, Mrs. Louise Snyder, Woodsfield; and one brother, Charles Newhart, also of Woodsfield.
Two daughters and two sons preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at 2 P. M. today from the Renshler mortuary with Rev. Oscar Brown, pastor of the East Foulke avenue Church of God, officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove cemetery.
The body was returned to the residence yesterday and will be taken to the mortuary at 11 A. M. today.
