Ottie Gene Walker, Jr., 34, Former Ellsinore Resident, Died In Poplar Bluff
Services were held at 2 p.m. on Thursday for Ottie Gene Walker, Jr., a 34-year-old laborer, who died unexpectedly at his home in Poplar Bluff on Tuesday, April 10th.
Rev. Clifford Julian officiated at the service in the Evangelistic Center north of Ellsinore, and burial was in White's Mill Cemetery by the McSpadden Funeral Home.
Mr. Walker was born Feb. 6th, 1945 at Piedmont, and spent his childhood and was educated at Ellsinore. He had lived in Poplar Bluff two years. The 1963 Vietnam veteran was of the Pentecostal faith. He was married to Janice Bagsby in Poplar Bluff. She survives.
Other survivors include two children, Mandy and Ottie Gene; his father Ottie Walker Sr., a half brother Alvin Walker, and two half-sisters, Opal and Dorothy, both of Ellsinore.
