KILLED IN THE LINE OF DUTY
Off. Huckeba answered a call for a family dispute between a father and a son at 11 A.M. AT 2430 Brunswick Rd. in Baltimore County. While he was speaking to the father, the son appeared from the home holding a rifle. As Off. Huckeba was calling for assistance, he was shot in the head by the son and killed. The son then barricaded himself in the home and was killed approximately 2 hours later by the Baltimore County S.W.A.T. unit after refusing to drop his weapon and surrender.
Officer Huckeba was a Howard County police officer prior to his service with Baltimore County. He is survived by a wife (Debra) and son (Wyatt).
