CHARLES W ASTON "Chick": Akron; 48, popular bowler & manager of Akron Recreation Cntr died suddenly early today from a heart attack at his home. Aston was apparently in good health & spirits when he retired last night, members of his family said. He suffered an attack about 2AM & was rushed to City Hosp. However, he was dead upon arrival there. He had lived in Akron since he was 9yrs old when his family came here from England. Aston leaves his wife Abbie: 2 daus: MrsClover Saurer-Canton; MarjorieJean-at home; 3 bros: John, Jas, Bert-all Akron; 2 sis: MrsAda Oliver-Akron; MrsMaude LaPorte-SanDiegoCA & 2 grandchildren. He was active in Masonic circles & the organizations bowling activities before he opened his own recreation center. {several para fraternal activities} Service will be Monday at Adams Funeral Home with burial in RoseHill Cem.
