H. Allan (Al) Abbott, 72, of passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2005 at Cartersville Medical Center. He was born in E. Providence, RI on July 9, 1932, the son of the late Herbert Moses and L. Grace Sears Abbott.
He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife, Dottie Abbott of Cartersville; two sons, Jeffrey Abbott of Roswell, GA and Stephen Abbott of Suwanee, GA; step-children Lori and husband John Megna of Alpharetta, GA; Charlie Brooks of Manchester, TN, four grandsons; Matthew and Aaron Abbott, Austin and Tyler Megna; brother William and his wife Dorothy of Naples, FL; sisters, Audrey Peterson of Stockton, CA and Shirley Rogers of Clovis, CA and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his parents and his first wife, Beverly Ann (Kolb) Abbott.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 18, in the chapel of the Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with the Rev. Doug Harris officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Roswell, GA.
