Sarah Frances, known as Fannie, was born in Boyle County, Kentucky, to Mary Bright and Thomas Madison Lillard (Siblings: Elizabeth Bright, John Turner, Henrietta "Annette," Mary Thomas, Maria/Pet, Katherine "Katie," Thomas Love "Love," Nancy "Nanny" B., Stonewall "SJ," William Henry "Will" ). She married Frank Gentry Robinson at her parents' home. They moved to Belton, Cass County, Missouri, and had a son and three daughters. Fannie died in a recuperation hospital in Bonner Springs, Wyandotte County, Kansas, after an operation when they were living in Kansas Citty. Her husband received a telegram and rushed to reach her but arrived after her death. Her body was returned to Belton, Cass County, to lie by that of her little girl, Mary. She was greatly mourned and her son never really recovered from her loss. Children: Mary Bright, Thomas Lillard ("Lillard" or "TL") Robinson) (he married Dora McDaniel and lived near Grandview, not far from Belton), Frances Gentry (Fannie Lillard)(Frances married Don Ricksecker of Kansas City), and Pet Lillard (Pet married Forest Leslie Merchant of Kansas City).

Little Mary Bright Robinson (23 Aug 1875-24 Jan 1881) was the daughter of Frank Gentry (FG) Robinson and Sarah Frances/Francis (Fannie) Lillard Robinson (our mother's grandparents, who came from Kentucky). She died coughing, with diphtheria, according to family tradition, in her father's arms.

Written by their son and admirer, John T. Lillard, and dedicated to them, and to their posterity. 1890.):

Sarah Francis Lillard (Robinson).

The second child born to our parents was a daughter, Sarah Francis Lillard, but who is called Fannie. Her birthday was January 11, 1851. She graduated at Mrs. Tevis' school for young ladies, at Shelbyville, Kentucky, at eighteen years of age. Here on the day she finished school, she met Mr.
Frank G. Robinson, of Winchester, Kentucky. On December, 22, 1870, she and Mr. Robinson, who was then only twenty years of age, were married, and immediately went to Kansas City, Missouri, where Mr. Robinson engaged in the
mercantile business. Soon after he transferred his business to Belton, Missouri, twenty miles from Kansas City, where, as a merchant, land owner, and dealer in cattle, he has prospered, and is a leading and prominent citizen. They have a son and two daughters living, and a daughter deceased. Fannie has black hair, dark complexion and dark eyes, and, as a young lady in society, was unusually vivacious and popular.
