She journeyed life's rugged and thorny path 62 yrs,4 mo and 3 days and then fell asleep in Jesus her precious Savior, whom she loved and served many years. She was the youngest of a family of 14 children, 7 boys and 7 girls, and grew up in and near Marysville, both her father and mother having died when she waas quite young and she lived with her oder brothers and sisters.
When 18 years of age she was married to John Sims to whom was born a son, Jesse Otis Sims.
Later she went with her son to Kansas where her brother John was living and took up a claim. bThere she met and married George Zimmerman at Garden City, Kansas March 8, 18887.
God in his mercy has given them 32 years together, blessing the union with 5 children- 2 boys and 3 girls,of whom but 2 girls survive.
Mother Zimmerman is survived by her husband, 2 daughters, Mrs. M.S. Cairns of Wataga,ILL, Mrs. Frank Chance of Lovilia, 1 son Jesse O Sims of Moline, ILL, 8 grandchildren, 1 brother Jesse Locke and 3 sisters, Mrs.Benj. Davis of Marysville,IA, with an innumerable body of friends who loved her dearly and will miss her sorely, for she was gifted with the happy faculty of making a friend of all she came in contact with. Funeral services were held at the M.E. Church, Lovilia at 2:30 p.m. July 8
