Kenneth M. Wilson

STAUNTON, Va. — Kenneth Melburn Wilson, 72, widower of Carolyn Lee (Smith) Wilson, of Staunton, died Monday, June 14, 2010, at his residence.

He was born January 30, 1938, in Organ Cave, W.Va., a son of Virgil Wilson of Ronceverte, W.Va., and the late Edna (Forren) Wilson.

Mr. Wilson was a veteran of the U. S. Army.

Following his retirement from Select Sires, he was employed by the Virginia School for the Deaf and Blind.

He was a member of the Masonic Lodge.

In addition to his father, family members include a son, David Wilson of Summerville, S.C.; a daughter, Kimberley W. Smallwood of Cary, N.C.; a step-daughter, Debbie Q. Moore of Wilmington, N.C.; three brothers, Lewis Wilson of Bloxom, Va., Bob Wilson of Ronceverte, and Jerry Wilson of Gap Mills, W.Va.; three sisters, Marcelle Adams of Frankford, W.Va., Patty Fullen of Pinch, W.Va., and Sandy Wilson of Ronceverte; a granddaughter, Anabelle Elizabeth Wilson; and a step-granddaughter, Ella Allen Moore.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, June 18, 2010, in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel, Staunton, Va., by the Rev. Mike Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 7 until 8:30 p.m. Thursday, June 17, 2010, in the funeral home and other times at the residence.
