ORGAN CAVE — Edna P. Wilson, 94, passed away early Wednesday, December 23, 2009, in the White Sulphur Springs Care Center after a short illness.

Born March 26, 1915, in Ft. Spring, she was the daughter of the late Lonnie Forren and Ora Burns Forren Karnes.

Mrs. Wilson was a resident of Organ Cave for seventy-two years, member of the Salem Presbyterian Church at Organ Cave where she had been a member of the Circle #2, member of the Organ Cave Extension Homemakers Club for many years, member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary of Caldwell, a cook at Organ Cave Elementary School for several years, and a homemaker but most of all Mrs. Wilson was the mother of nine children.

Mrs. Wilson and her husband, Virgil G. Wilson, probably set a record for being married seventy-seven years; they were married at Ronceverte on April 3, 1932.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Noel Nathan Wilson and Edwin "Eddie" Wilson; great-great-granddaughter, Emily Cook; two brothers, Richard Forren and Cecil Forren.

Survivors include her loving husband, Virgil G. Wilson of the W.S.S. Care Center; three daughters, Sandra Wilson of Organ Cave, Marcelle Adams of Frankford, Patricia Fullen of Pinch; daughter-in-law, Linda Wilson of Organ Cave; four sons, Charles Lewis Wilson of Bluxon, Va., Kenneth Wilson of Staunton, Va., Robert "Bob" Wilson and wife, Roberta, of Organ Cave and Jerry Wilson of Gap Mills; fifteen grandchildren, Tom, Clyde Lewis, Mike and David Wilson, Jim, Randy, Tim and Charlie Stanley, Patti Owens, Kimberly Smallwood, Robin vonSeldenick, Lisa Nichols, Letha Fullen, Beth Vance and Allison Baker; nine great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

Service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, December 27, 2009, at the Salem Presbyterian Church, Organ Cave, with Rev. Carl Pattison, Rev. Gary Baker and Rev. Mike Wilson officiating.

Burial to follow in the Greenbrier Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Lewisburg.

Friends may call 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, December 26, 2009, at Longanacre Funeral Home, Fairlea, and at the church one hour prior to the service on Sunday.
