Mrs. Myrtle Pinkston
Quenemo-Mrs. Myrtle Pinkston, 94, Quenemo, died Friday, Feb. 22, at an Ottawa hospital.
She was born Jan. 25, 1891, near Garden City, the daughter of E.T. and Matilda Moffett Foushee. She lived on the same farm southeast of Quenemo 52 years.
She was married to Walter Pinkston Jan. 14, 1912, at Wichita. He died July 28, 1952.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Higgins, Kansas City, Kan.; two sons, Clarence "Bus" Pinkston, Quenemo, and Edwin "Mutt" Pinkston, Pomona; two sisters, Mrs. Gladys Barnett, Wheatland, Mo., and Mrs. Anice Schaub, Princeton; six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Quenemo United Methodist church. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery at Pomona. Mrs. Pinkston will lie in state from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. Tuesday at Feltner Funeral Home in Lyndon.
