William U. Foushee, 88, died July 24, 1983, at Kansas Christian Home, Newton, after a long illness. Born Jan. 25, 1895, at Leoti, he married Josie M. Pinkston Feb. 24, 1917, at Manhattan. She died Dec. 14, 1979. He was retired co-owner of Foushee-Heckendorn Manufacturing Co., and had been a Cedar Point resident since 1910.
Survivors: daughters, Pauline E. Gavin, Cedar Point; sisters, Myrtle Pinkston, Quenemo; Anice Schaub, Princeton; Gladys Barnett, Wheatland, Mo.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Draper-Cannon Funeral Chapel, Florence; the Rev. John Hinshaw. Burial at Cedar Point Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home until service time. Memorials to Cedar Point Recreational Fund in care of the funeral home.
