Mrs. Hattie Bea Lewis,69, 107 N. Martin, died Wednesday night at Parkview Nursing Home after a long illness. Mrs. Lewis was born in Kentucky and came to Muncie with her parents when two years old. She was a member of the Willard Street Church of God.
Surviving are her husband, John; two daughters, Mrs. Marietta Burk, New Castle, and Mrs. Evelyn Cook, Columbus, Ga.; three sons, Jerome and William Thompson, Muncie, and Leroy, Alton, Ill.; 25 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and brother, Roy Stephenson, Florida.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Willard Street Church of God with Rev. Paul Everhart officiating. Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery. Callers will be received at the Piepho and Fry Funeral Home from 2 to 5 and from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and at the church one hour prior to services.
