Today, Lee Ridge and myself found the gravestone of Samuel & Abigail NEAL in the Hindustan Cemetery, Section 14 of Washington Township, Monroe County. We had heard that some years ago the stone, but not the graves, had been moved from the Old Neal Farm to the Hindustan Cemetery for safe keeping.
The stone is in the third row on the East side of the church.
It has been placed between the graves of William Whitsell & wife and James F. Neal & wife.
The stone reads: SAMUEL NEAL, Born Feb 2, 1780, Died Nov 29, 1847. Below that is: ABIGAIL, wife of SAMUEL NEAL, Born Sept 27, 1795, Died Jan 4, 1853.
A notation will be made in the listings for both cemeteries.
