Chico Weekly Enterprise, Volume XIX, Number 25, 4 November 1887, pg 1, col 4: Death of Nathaniel Ham. This morning Nathaniel Ham died in Chico, aged 56 years. Deceased came to this State three years ago, and during that time has been working on the Rancho Chico. He was a cousin of our old citizen A.J. [Andrew Jackson 1832-1894] Ham, was a quiet and industrious man, and leaves many friends to mourn his loss.
