The funeral of the late Charles Puffer was held in the Congregational church last Wednesday at 2 o'clock, Rev. H. A. Prescott, officiating. Mr. Puffer has made his home and been tenderly cared for at the home of Royal Sheldon for some time past or during his failing health until last Monday night when he succumbed to that dread disease, cancer. Deceased was a man of sterling principles, as well as being a steadfast, earnest Christian. A large number of people attended the funeral to pay their last tribute of respect to the departed one. The remains were interred in the Congregational church cemetery.
