A Patriot in the American Revolutionary Army.

The British surrendered on October 19, 1781. Sentinels were posted along the streets of Elizabethtown and called out to each passerby to account for himself. David Woodruff and Phillip McCrea were walking in the town one night and were hailed by the sentinel. They failed to answer. The sentinel fired and killed Phillip McCrea.
