Doris L. Roediger died at the age of 96 on March 4, 2004. Along with her husband, Roy, they owned and operated Roediger Oil Co. in Mayetta for approximately 50 years. Mr. Roediger preceded her in death on April 27, 1997.

Doris was a member of the Episcopal Church and Mayetta Chapter No. 383 of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was also active in the Mayetta 4-H program and in the Republican Party.

Survivors include two daughters, Anna Lea Roediger and Jacque L. Hegemann, eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and seven great- great-grandchildren. Doris was known as "Granny" to her many grand, great-grand, and great-great grandchildren.
