Miss Helen Gwin

Miss Helen Gwin, Holmes County native and former resident of Lexington, died Wednesday, July 13 at West Suburban Hospital in Oak Park, Illinois. She was 78.

Miss Gwin was born August 25, 1904 and her parents were the late Mr. William Gwin and Mrs. Mattie May Watson Gwin.

She was a retired sales representative and a Methodist. She had made her home in Oak Park for a number of years.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 15 at Southern Funeral Home Chapel in Lexington with the Rev. Dudley Brown officiating.

She is survived by one brother, William R. Gwin of Indianola: three sisters, Mrs. Carl Carlson of University Park, Maryland; Miss Elizabeth Gwin of Oak Park, Illinois and Mrs. W.B. Hedgepeth of Atlanta, Georgia.

Interment was in Odd Fellows Cemetery with Southern in charge of arrangements.
