Funeral services for Mrs. Julia Ann Caruthers Allison, widow of Dr. John Allison, were conducted at the
Cookeville Church of Christ, Saturday afternoon, by Ray Kinslow and the Rev. Dow Ensor. Interment was in the Cookeville Cemetery.
Mrs. Allison died at her home of her daughter, Mrs. Beula Delaney, just north of Cookeville. She had been in good health prior to a heart attack Tuesday. Her death occurred while she was sleeping, sometime after midnight.
A member of the Church of Christ, Mrs. Allison was the daughter of John and Cassie Moore Caruthers.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Delaney, Mrs. Ethel Passon, both of Cookeville, Mrs. Helen Roark, Franklin, KY, and Mrs. Maude Webb of Chickamauga, GA; two sons, Joe Allison, Cookeville, and Harry Allison, Birmingham, AL; three brothers, Steve, Alex and John M. Caruthers; a stepson, Herschell Allison, a stepdaughter, Mrs. Charles Norton, and six grandchildren.
