Myrtle Clark Albee grew up Anamosa, Iowa with six sisters and one brother. Her parents were Susan West and Wilber Clark. In early 1900, she ventured to Colorado Springs to visit her sister, Pearl, here she met and married Drane "DJ" Albee. Myrtle was a beautiful pianist, wonderful cook & baker, active in her church and community. She is remembered by her grandchildren as a sweet and kind woman.
