Hurbert Alcorn Dies Unexpectedly:
Hurbert Lee Alcorn, 41, died unexpectedly Monday afternoon May 25 at the home of a sister, Mrs. David Chadwell, Rt. 5, Silver Point.
Funeral services were conducted Thursday morning at Hooper-Huddleston Funeral Home with the Rev. Ernest Bennett and the Rev. William Huddleston of Sparta officiating. Burial was in the Cookeville City Cemetery.
Mr. Alcorn was a native of Putnam County and a farmer.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Helen Fields Alcorn of Cookeville; a son, Glen Darman Alcorn, Cookeville; 2 daughters, Misses Linda Lois Alcorn and Tambetta Sue Alcorn of Cookeville; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Alcorn, Pontiac, MI; 3 brothers, J. R. Alcorn, James Walter Alcorn, with the USAF, Allen Alcorn, Great Lake, IL; 4 other sisters, Mrs. Woodrow Bartlett, Detroit, MI, Mrs. Carson Moss, Chattanooga, Miss Katie Alcorn, Pontiac, MI.
