MRS. WADE, 98, GRANITE, DIES
GRANITE FALLS Mrs. Katherine Ivana Wade, 98, of Route Three Granite Falls (the Hickory Highway) died Friday afternoon at one o'clock enroute to a Hickory hospital.
Born Oct. 13, 1865 in Caswell county, she was a daughter of the late J. Y. Richmond and Eliza King Richmond.
Her husband, Cornelius Wade, preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at three o'clock at Friendship Methodist church. The Rev. Kyle Smith will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.

Survivors are her daughters Mrs. Mary E. Hoyle of Route Three, Granite Falls, Mrs. Correna Wilson of Icard, Mrs. Mattie Branch of Castro Valley, Calif., Mrs. Jewell Turner of Oakland, Calif. and Mrs. Adams of Medford, Ore., four sons, S. J. Wade of Route Two, Connelly Springs, J. G. Wade of Bainbridge, Ga., Andrew Wade of Atlanta, Ga., and Ralph Wade of Los Alamitos, Calif., 24 [grand]children; 27 great-grandchildren.
