Mr. Baker came to work in the experimental department of Warner Gear Division (now Borg Warner Automotive, Transmission Systems) soon after graduation. He later worked for the company in Detroit. Upon returning to Muncie, he was in charge of marine sales.
He and his wife, Charlene Arbaugh Baker, lived on Skidway Island, Ga., near Savannah from 1977 until 1981. Mr. Baker was a member of High Street United Methodist Church, Muncie Masonic Lodge 433 and Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday in Meeks Mortuary. Interment will be in Beech Grove Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
