"Mrs. William Hall, 78, Preston, died Wednesday of cancer at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Alfred Meyer of Fountain. She had been ill two months. The former Cora Austin was born Nov. 3, 1882, in Iowa and was married to William Hall in 1901 at Root Prairie Church in Fountain. She had lived in the Pilot Mound area all of her adult life and moved to Preston in 1952. Surviving are a son, Cyrus of Fountain; two daughters, Mrs. Chris Evenrud of Preston and Mrs. Alfred Meyer of Fountain; four brothers, Edwin of Chicago, Theodore of Thompson, Iowa, Martin of Mason City, Iowa, and Gilbert of Covina, Calif., and a sister, Mrs. Nettie Sims of California. Funeral services will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the Root Prairie Lutheran Church with the Rev. James Braaten officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the Drury Funeral Home in Fountain today and Friday until 12:15 p.m."
