Wallace Boe Dale Hollis, 73, of Canyon, died Thursday, Oct. 10, 1996. Services were at 4 p.m. Saturday in Brooks Funeral Directors Chapel with the Rev. Wayne J. Park, pastor of St. Paul Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial was in Dreamland Cemetery. Mr. Hollis was born in Mangum, Okla. He moved to the Texas Panhandle when he was a child and had been a longtime resident of the Canyon and Amarillo area. He was a cowboy and worked most of his life in the farming and ranching industry. He was the 1955 World Championship Bulldogger. He was a member of the PRCA. Survivors include a daughter, Angela Hollis Sutterfield of Amarillo; a son, Shawn Hollis of Canyon; his mother, Jewell Pruitt of Canyon; a sister, Othella Adcock of Fort Smith, Ark.; and a grand-daughter.
