Albert "Peanuts" S. Delaney, 83, died June 7 at Leesburg Regional Hospital, Leesburg Fla., after a long illness.
He was born Dec. 22, 1926, in Queenstown, Armstrong County, to the late Raphael and Margaret Delaney.

He worked in trucking and at Daman Industries in Bradys Bend and later in landscaping in Florida.

He served in the U.S. Army, and he was a member of the St. Timothy Catholic Church in Lady Lake, Fla.

He loved being outdoors, gardening and camping at Knox, Pa., the past 10 years. He especially loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and his special great-grandchild, Kylee.

Al married Brenda McCollough in 1959, and they celebrated their 50th anniversary last year. He and Brenda moved to Florida in 1984, where they both were employed until retirement.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda, and four children, Stephen and his wife, Kelly, of Indian Head, Md., David of Alexandria, Va., and Linda Collar and Karen Delaney of East Brady; 10 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. He also is survived by his brother, Charles R. Delaney and his wife, Jane, of New Kensington; a brother-in-law, Lee McConville of New Kensington; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Helen Wascak, Anna McConville, and Margaret De Maria.
