Miss Sophia Champlin, who for thirty-three years was a well known resident of Centerville, died at her home in McPherson, Kansas, Monday morning.Deceased was the daughter of Alfred Champlin, an early settler in Centerville. She was born on January 24, 1851.Four sisters are living: Mrs. John McCullough and Mrs. William Farnham of Centerville, Mrs. Hamilton of Canton, Kansas, and Miss Sadie Champlin of McPherson, Kan.Miss Champlin had a cheerful disposition and always looked on the bright side of life, although she had been an invalid for many years.
