From Ada Elizabeth Layton Lewis' documents that she recorded from a visit with her Aunt Julia (Ady) Thurber in the early 1930s. Julia Thurber was Sophia's sister. "Aunt Julia said that Sophia died at the home of a maternal aunt in the East by accidental scalding, and that she is buried there."
Possibly at Emiline Amanda Nearing Howard's home as she is also buried at Riveriew.
