Services Thursday For Lifelong Resident
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at the Pentecostal Church on Blackberry Road for Mrs.Florence (Haney)Poe, 63, who died in a local hospital Monday, (Jun.24 1953) following an illness of three weeks.
Born April 13, 1890 in Johnson County, she was the daughter of Jim and Margaret Simmons Haney.
She had been a life-long resident of Paintsville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert Poe, November 26, 1952.
Surviving are two sons, Tom Arnett and Frank James Ervin/Irven,both of this city, two daughters, Mrs.Bennie Ward and Mrs.David Hensley,both of this city, and one brother,Willie Haney, also of this city.
Officiating ministers will be Arthur Ramey, Oran Hensley and Woodrow White.
Burial will be made in the Town Cemetery under the direction of the Preston Funeral Home
