Margaret Lent, 93 of New Concord, passed away Wednesday (March 24, 2010) at the Cambridge Health and Rehabilitation center, where she had lived for several years. She was born April 17, 1916 in Pleasant City, daughter of the late Evan and Cora (Hively) Callahan. Mrs. Lent was well known as a Stanley Home Products dealer, and a Sunday school teacher at Four Square Gospel Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Lent, whom she married Aug. 10, 1935, and who passed away Feb. 22, 1998 two sons, Dane and Scott Lent; and 13 brothers and sisters. She is survived by two sons, Paul (Marge Toth) of Newark and Gary (Barbara Larrick) of Cincinnati; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today (Friday) at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville, where services will be 10 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. William Cain officiating. Burial will be in Harmony Christian Cemetery.
