A Jerome Gladish, son of Henry Gladish, deceased, died at his home one mile north of Oakland City, Sunday morning, March 5th.

Mr. Gladish was 76 years of age and was one of the finest citizens that ever lived in and near Oakland City. Mr. Gladish was well known here by some of the older residents and was an own cousin of the late Will Gladish. The death of Jerome Gladish takes another of the country's fine and up right citizens who stood for the ideals of brotherhood and democracy that made this country what it is today. The Gladish family have reason to be proud of the record Jerome and his forbears made to their communities.

Surviving are three sons, Herman of Greenwood, Charles of Gary, and Russell of Shelbyville, and two daughters, Mabel at home, and Mary Gladish of Shelbyville.

Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the M E Church of Oakland City and burial was made in the Montgomery Cemetery. Mr and Mrs Les Gladish attended the services.

The obituary omitted he was proceeded in death by his wife Sarah (1864-1913) and daughter Ruth (1900-1928)
