ROBERT BENTLEY BITNER, Greencastle, Route One, died yesterday morning at the Waynesboro Hospital, after an illness of one year, age 59 years.
Born near Mercersburg, he was the son of the late Lewis and Mattie (Smith) Bitner. He was a member of the Evagelical Lutheran Church in Greencastle.
Surviving are wife, Mrs. Grace (Robinson) Bitner; children, Mrs. Edgar Jumper, Newville, Pa., Route One; Arthur, Waynesboro, Route Three; Mrs. Robert Green, Greencastle, Route Three; Walter, Greencastle, Route One; Lewis, Waynesboro, Route Three; Mrs. Charles Swisher, Waynesboro, Route Two; stepchildren, Carl Robinson, Chambersburg, Route Six; Harry Robinson, Bowie, Md.; Mrs. Robert Wishard, Greencastle, Route One; and 25 grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Minnich Funeral Home, Greencastle, Rev. John W. Harkins and Rev. John A. Byers officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Greencastle.
Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.
