Miss Greenlee, Pioneer Daughter, Dies
Martha Greenlee, 96, formerly of 1909 Price St., dies at 8:30 a.m. today in Smith Nursing Home after a lingering illness.
Miss Greenlee was born Oct. 11, 1865 in Argyle, where her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Greenlee, settled in the 1840s. She came to Rockford from Argyle in 1923. She was a member of First Presbyterian church.
Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Mary Reid, Rockford, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister, Margaret Greenlee, who assistant county superintendent of schools for 21 years until retiring in 1921. She died in 1952.
Arrangements are being completed in Burpee-Wood Funeral Home, 420 N. Main St.
